In early November, along with other soccer fan organizations in Baton Rouge, we launched the Supporters Supporting Food Banks food drive to collect donations for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Over the course of the holiday season, supporters brought in food donations to the collection site at Pelican To Mars as well as donated cash to the food bank website through the QR code on the flyer and donation bin.

On the last Spurs match of the food drive, Baton Rouge Spurs held a prize raffle with a ticket for each item and dollar donated. Over 175 tickets were entered into our raffle as a result. Bar Tabs, an Official Supporters Club tumbler and Scarves were won as prizes, but most of all our community benefited from the generosity of Spurs fans here in Baton Rouge.

Big thanks to everyone who donated not only yesterday, but for every donation given over the course of the food drive. A special thanks to Chad with LFC Baton Rouge, and Kendall with Baton Rouge Spurs for their work in getting the food drive set up. Pelican To Mars for hosting the food drive and to Baton Rouge Spurs, LFC Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Gunners, Carefree Louisiana, and the Baton Rouge chapter of the American Outlaws for spreading the word about the food drive with their members and followers.
