Road Trip! November 21, 2024 Kendall Losee 12:08 pm No Comments We are happy to announce our first ever road trip! Baton Rouge Spurs will be heading to New Orleans to visit our friends at New Orleans Spurs. New Orleans Spurs have visited us at Pelican to Mars on two occasions in the 2023/24 season, including for the Wearin’ of the Green St. Patrick’s parade. This time we are finally returning the favor! We will be visiting New Orleans Spurs for the Sunday, December 15th match against Southampton. The match kicks off at 1:00 pm. New Orleans Spurs usually meets at The Avenue Pub at 1732 St. Charles Avenue, in New Orleans. Further information will be shared on the Facebook event, on our website and on Social media. Feel free to contact us if you need more information. Update The Southampton game will be on upstairs at The Avenue Pub with the Saints game on downstairs. Feel free to dress up in Spurs and/or holiday attire and bring someone with you if you would like. New Orleans Spurs are also encouraging attendees to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. Where To Watch Spurs This Season December 6, 2024 Kendall Losee 11:13 am No Comments Tottenham Hotspur will play in multiple competitions throughout the season so where should you look for the upcoming games? Here’s where you’ll be able to catch the games this season: Premier League: Since 2013 NBC Sports has had  the rights to the Premier League and will for at least the next four seasons. Most games will either be on USA network or streaming on Peacock with the occasional game on NBC (Locally WVLA Channel 33) or more rarely, CNBC. Spanish language broadcasts can be found on Telemundo or Universo. Replays of games are usually available on Peacock the same doy for Peacock exclusive games, and 24 hours later for games aired on a television network. UEFA Europa League: CBS Sports has the TV rights to Europa League matches through the 2029/30 Season. All games will be on CBS’s streaming service, Paramount+ with select games also airing on CBS Sports Network or CBS (Locally WAFB channel 9). Spanish language broadcasts are sometimes available through Univision and TUDN.  The FA Cup: ESPN currently holds the TV rights to the FA Cup through 2028. Most games will be availible on ESPN+, ESPN and ESPN2 may also pick up an occasional game.  EFL (Carabao) Cup: New for this season CBS Sports won the rights to the EFL including the Carabao Cup. Most games will air on Paramount+ with some games on CBS Sports Golazo Network (which is availible online, on Paramount+ and Pluto TV, CBS’s free streaning tv service). Some games may possibly be available on the CBS Sports Network or CBS as well. Full game replays of all Spurs first team games are typically available the next day on SpursPlay, Tottenham’s in-house streaming service available for £45. This service will also show select youth matches and have replays of Women’s matches as well. Of course, the game will always be on when we have a watch party at Pelican To Mars! We’re Official! December 6, 2024 Kendall Losee 11:51 am No Comments Baton Rouge Spurs is now an Official Supporters’ Club of Tottenham Hotspur! Thanks to everyone who has joined and helped us reach our goal of becoming the next Spurs Supporters Club! Now that we are official this means that Spurs fans here in the Baton Rouge area are now able to get access to tickets before they go on sale to the public. This is particularly important for international fans such as ourselves to be able to have just that little extra time to make plans for trips to North London. Being official also means that we are recognized by the club and will (eventually) be featured on the club website in order for other Spurs fans to find us when they visit Baton Rouge or let local fans know we’re here! This was made possible by fans joining us, and we’re always looking for more Spurs fans to join us! If you’re in the Baton Rouge area, come “be in that number” by signing up here!
